Ralf Leenen (°Antwerpen,
1974) started playing mandolin at the age of six. Ralf Leenen (°Antwerpen, 1974) begon op zesjarige
leeftijd mandoline te spelen. Aan de jeugdacademie "Cantilene" kreeg hij
les van Joe Van Dunnegem. Reeds op twaalfjarige leeftijd wordt hij eerste
mandolinist bij de Koninklijke Estudiantina "La Napolitaine". Op zijn
veertiende wordt hij eveneens solist van deze estudiantina en zal zich
onder leiding van Henri Gamblin verder vervolmaken in de klassieke
Italiaanse speelwijze, naar voorbeeld van Silvio Ranieri. |

| Guy Lemičre (°1947) started
playing mandolin at the age of 8 as a pupil of mandolin virtuoso Frans
De Groodt, at the Academy "Jozef Van Poppel"
(Antwerpen-Deurne), and achieved the degree of 'excellence'. At the Academy of Wilrijk (Antwerpen) he obtained the diploma of music
history as well.Guy has been playing mandolin in the orchestra since
1979.

| Carl
Cappelle (°1987) started playing the mandolin at the age of eight at

| Filip Lemičre (°1970) started
playing mandolin at "Kindervreugd" in Antwerpen at the age of
eight and was a pupil of Joe Van Dunnegem. When he was 15 he became a member of La Napolitaine, where he played mandolin and later on mandola as well. Currently he's the orchestra's mandola and mandoliola (alto) player. | Florentina Claessen had her first
mandolin lessons at the age of 9 from mandolin virtuoso Frans De Groodt
at the Academy "Jozef Van Poppel" (Antwerpen-Deurne), where
she obtained a 'higher degree' diploma. Since 1954 she's a member of La Napolitaine, primarily as a mandolin player, later on as mandola soloist. Today she plays mandoloncello in the orchestra. | Yvonne Azaert has been a member of the Royal Estudiantina "La Napolitaine" since 1970. In 1970 she obtained the government's silver medal as a pupil of Albert Messagie at the music academy in Wilrijk (Antwerpen). In 1972, together with Albert Messagie, she received the first price for guitar duos at the international contest for guitar ensembles "Ida Presti - Challenge cup". Yvonne Azaert studied with Prof. Victor van Puijenbroeck at the Royal Flemish Conservatory in Antwerpen, and additionally with Cascabel de Jerez and Siegfried Behrend. At the occasion of the 75th anniversary of "La Napolitaine" she performed the most famous "Concierto de Aranjuez" of Joaquin Rodrigo at several concerts. In 1976 she succeeded the famous mandolin and guitar virtuoso Frans De Groodt at the academy "Jozef Van Poppel" in Deurne (Antwerpen). Yvonne Azaert teaches guitar at the music academy in Wilrijk (Antwerpen) and also guitar and ensemble playing at the academy "Jozef Van Poppel" in Deurne (Antwerpen). She also performs and gives guitar recitals on authentic instruments. Yvonne Azaert is sinds 1970 verbonden als gitariste aan de "Koninklijke Estudiantina La Napolitaine". |

Roland Timmerman, born in Bruge, began his musical education at youthful age in the SFX school brass band. He obtained the diploma with a "degree of excellence" for double bass with A. Messens. As double bass player he played at several music festivals of "Jeugd en Muziek", as well in Belgium as abroad. Roland represented Belgium as double bass player in the international "Youth orchestra" in Budapest. For many years he's been a permanent member of the orchestras "Jeugd en Muziek België" and "Jeugd en Muziek Antwerpen". During 20 years Roland has been the double bass player of the "Chamber Orchestra of Antwerp", with whom he played several concerts in Spain, Scotland, Germany, ... . Today he's a member of chamber orchestra "Entente Cordiale", and La Napolitaine's double bass player. Roland Timmerman,
